The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Southwest Zone D, has announced a strategic partnership with the Federal Ministry of Defence following a high-level engagement aimed at improving employment prospects and innovation opportunities for Nigerian students.

The meeting was led by the Coordinator of NANS Southwest Zone D, Comrade Adeyemo Josiah Kayode (BILLIONCODES), who paid a courtesy visit to the Director of Finance and Accounts, Ministry of Defence, Mr. Afolabi Idowu Omoniwa.

During discussions, both parties emphasized the importance of equipping students with practical skills that will enable them to contribute to Nigeria's growing technological and industrial sectors.

The Ministry also highlighted the increasing role of young Nigerians in local defence innovation, encouraging students to embrace opportunities that support national development.

Hope for Graduate Employment

Comrade Adeyemo explained that the partnership is designed to create practical employment pathways for graduates while exposing students to innovation, research, entrepreneurship, and professional development.

The proposal received positive support from the Ministry, with both sides agreeing to strengthen future collaboration for the benefit of Nigerian students.
