The Coordinator of NANS Southwest (Zone D), Comrade Josiah Kayode Adeyemo, popularly known as Billioncodes, has taken a firm stand on student safety ahead of the 2026 NANS National Convention scheduled to hold in Abuja.

In a high-priority internal memo, the Coordinator officially notified all SUG Presidents, JCC Chairmen, and relevant stakeholders that the Southwest delegation will move in a single, coordinated convoy to the Federal Capital Territory.

To ensure maximum security and proper coordination, Comrade Adeyemo designated Akure, Ondo State, as the official convergence point for delegates from the six Southwestern states.

“Safety is Non-Negotiable”

Citing the long travel distance and the current security realities within the country, the NANS Southwest Coordinator emphasized that the convoy must depart by exactly 10:30 AM on May 22nd, 2026.

He further warned against the risky culture of late-night travel, stressing that delegates must prioritize safety above every other consideration.

“Avoid late-night traveling to prevent ‘Had I known’ stories,” Billioncodes warned.

According to him, all delegates are expected to arrive at the Akure convergence point no later than 10:00 AM to guarantee movement under broad daylight and reduce exposure to security threats and road accidents.

The move has been widely described by stakeholders as a proactive and responsible decision aimed at ensuring the welfare and protection of student leaders traveling for the national convention.
