Students of D.S. Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic, Itori, have been thrown into mourning following the death of HND II Marketing student, Miss Ahmed Sekinat, who was reportedly killed during an overnight robbery attack around the Eruku student community.

The tragic incident occurred while students were preparing for their ongoing examinations, leaving many traumatised and prompting peaceful protests across the institution.

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Southwest Zone D, has condemned the attack and described the loss as unacceptable.

According to the association, students deserve safe learning environments and should never fear for their lives while pursuing their education.

NANS also confirmed that its officials are engaging affected students while demanding stronger security measures from relevant authorities.

The association called on the Ogun State Government and security agencies to urgently improve patrols around student residential areas and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
