In a major step towards sustainability, the university has completed the installation of 500 solar panels across campus buildings.
The project, which cost $2.3 million, is expected to reduce the campus carbon footprint by 40% and save approximately $180,000 annually in energy costs.
"This is just the beginning of our green campus initiative," said the Vice Chancellor at the inauguration ceremony.
